Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a brand new ending.

Sunrise through the grass

Welcome to the refreshed Being Fully Present! I am excited about this new start and look forward to sharing fresh and more frequent content with you. I hope you will be inspired to see the extraordinary in the ordinary, the possibility in the everyday, and the love in life. Please take a moment to subscribe so we can share this journey together.

Here’s the short story of my start today toward a brand new ending:

I retired on August 15. There are two ways to look at this life event; focus on the ending or explore the many possibilities in new beginnings. Sure, there was an end to my formal employment. But, what else ended? Nothing, I say! Everything else is a beginning.

Relationships will continue, some of them with new depth as previous reporting relationships no longer exist. Others will grow with a new coaching and/or mentoring focus. Still others will simply continue out of mutual respect and appreciation for our shared experiences.

I will use my skills in new ways of my choosing. I will speak publicly on the topics that are important to me. I will have time to devote to reading and, therefore, writing more book reviews. I am already enjoying renewed relationships with several publicists and publishers. I will take local community or academic classes to remain active and sharp.

I will focus on being fully present to the life I am choosing to live and the life my family is building. With relief from extraordinary daily stress, I will focus on my health, my fitness, my loved ones, and my neighborhood. Without the constant demands of my former work, I have already rediscovered the optimistic, positive, compassionate person I had always been, but lost track of along the way.

I will spend more time writing here on Being Fully Present!

While the Being Fully Present site design has a fresh and new design, there will also be a sense of familiarity in some of the posts. The Tuesday Tidbit will continue with short messages relating to leadership and teamwork. Thank You Thursday is a fairly regular message rooted in gratitude. The BFP Moment is a new addition and will post on Mondays. It is a way to share my love of photography with my love of quotes and offer a quick-hit inspiration to start the week. Book Reviews are usually about newly released titles on leadership, positive attitude and living a compassionate life. Other posts will come to be as my new life unfolds.

I’m excited about this opportunity to “start today and make a brand new ending.” What new ending are you working on? Tell me your story.
