I generally don’t have to travel very much for work.  This week started a little differently, though.

Sunday evening, I flew from Columbus to Philadelphia.  After a presentation on Monday, I hurried back to the airport for an early evening flight from Philadelphia to Charlotte.  After meetings with two customers on Tuesday, I was back at the airport again, this time waiting for a late afternoon flight from Charlotte back to Columbus.

Today, I am thankful for home.

It was nice to see my husband waiting for me at the airport.  It was nice to get into our car, instead of another taxi. Even though I had been gone just 48 hours, it was so nice to pull in the driveway and see home.  It was even nicer to unpack, change clothes and get in my own bed, with my own pillow!  It was nice to wake up yesterday morning and drink my own coffee and eat my own breakfast – without having to get dressed and go to the lobby!

They say that home is where the heart is.  Well, my heart is home.

Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it. -William Arthur Ward
