If I asked, “Where do you live?” you would probably give me the name of a town and maybe the state. If we lived in the same area, perhaps you would name the street. You might say “I live in the city” or “in the country” or a particular neighborhood.

Today, let’s try something different. Don’t think geographically. Instead, choose to live in gratitude!

Yesterday morning I caught sight of the sun rising just above the snowy horizon. I was so thankful to see clear skies with the orange tinge of dawn! What an awesome way to start the day. That feeling stayed with me all day long. My heart literally felt like it was bursting with gratitude.

Of course, there are many more things than sunshine to be thankful for. I’m thankful for my family, friends, good neighbors, fresh flowers, health, new opportunities, interesting books, delicious food, lessons learned, trusted advisors, a comfortable home, learning, and so, so much more!

What are you thankful for?  Perhaps something today has already nudged you towards a state of thankfulness and appreciation. Stay there. Reflect. Enjoy. Share.

Let’s try this again.

Where do you live?

In gratitude!
