As so many of us were trying to process the horrific mass shooting in Orlando yesterday, my brother posted this comment on Facebook:
I don’t claim to have any answers. I don’t know how to fix it, but what I do know, is that we all have two choices, you can hate, or you can love. -R.Knoepfel
He was exactly right. And, I definitely choose love.
As I thought more about it in anticipation of creating today’s inspiration, I decided on a slight shift. Instead of choosing love, the noun, I challenge us all to choose to love, the verb, the action.
Start today. Start now. Put the thought of love in your head, the commitment to love in your heart, and the action of love in all you do.
Be kind. Show compassion. Listen to understand. Be gracious. Offer support. Be forgiving.
Imagine what might be possible if we all simply choose to love.
