Have you ever tried to cross a bridge before you got to it? It’s simply not possible. When traveling, if you’ve planned well, you probably know that the bridge is coming. You can prepare for it by having toll money ready, if needed. But, no matter what you do, you simply cannot travel across the bridge until you are there.

Why then, do we spend so much energy fretting about tomorrow? It’s not here yet. We hope it’s coming. We can prepare for it to arrive. But worrying about tomorrow does no good, serving only to distract you from enjoying today.

Be fully present where you are right now. Don’t worry about crossing the bridge down the road.

Be Present
