Question!

Below are two comments made by two different people about their boss. The first was made at an offsite workday; three women were talking about a phone call one of them had just received, apparently from her manager. She was surprised at how pleasant the call was and made this statement to explain her relief. The second statement was made by someone participating in a radio discussion; he was asked about working for the demanding director of an off-broadway musical.

“Anytime I have to go to her office, I’m always prepared to get yelled at, just in case. You never know what mood she’s in.”

“He’s such a champion for each of us, we want to be champions for him.”

Think about this: If your team members had to pick one of the above to describe you, which would it be? How do you feel about that choice?
