Can your team articulate your vision? Do your team members buy into that vision? Is the vision consistently used in decision-making?
On her website, consultant and author (Full Steam Ahead) Jesse Lyn Stoner of the Seapoint Center for Collaborative Leadership provides a free ten question survey to help leaders assess how strong their team’s vision is. Once you submit your responses, you will get a brief results statement letting you know if your team is mobilized, forming, typical or unfocused and what that means for you.
At the very least, the questions will prompt you to think about your team’s vision. It may also lead you to consider how you communicate and use that vision to rally your team around it.
