Last Friday, I attended the local simulcast of Leadercast, a day long global event with a full slate of speakers presenting ideas about leadership. The last speaker of the day was author Simon Sinek (Start With Why and Leaders Eat Last).  His TED Talk, How Great Leaders Inspire Action, is the second most viewed TED talk of all time.

Here are a few of the notes I jotted down:

The leader creates the environment in which people can succeed…or not.

The leaders are the ones willing to sacrifice themselves for their people.

Simon Sinek notes

Were you at a Leadercast event?  Who was your favorite speaker?  How much did you love Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s laugh?  I’ll share some of his quotes next week.

Tuesday Tidbits are weekly messages I send to my leadership team. They are generally short & sweet, often focused on leadership or teamwork, always positive and, hopefully, motivational. I hope you also find some meaning in them.
