One of my favorite stories that came out of yesterday’s Boston Marathon is when one of the runners fell just shy of the finish line.  Another runner stopped and tried to help him. Then another runner stopped and the two men tried to carry the fallen runner to the finish, but the first runner’s legs just would not cooperate.  Finally, two more runners stopped to help.  With four people carrying one, five people crossed the finish line together.

Our stories are certainly not so dramatic but we help each other succeed, as well. Whether it’s through teamwork to complete a task, sharing knowledge to solve a problem, offering general support during a challenging time, or celebrating the day-to-day small wins, we all help move each other toward our goals.

We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone. -Ronald Reagan

Tuesday Tidbits are weekly messages I send to my leadership team. They are generally short & sweet, often focused on leadership or teamwork, always positive and, hopefully, motivational. I hope you also find some meaning in them.
