In honor of tomorrow’s Independence Day holiday celebrating the birth of our great nation, here are a few quotes from some of our Founding Fathers.  Though these words were originally shared in the 1770s, they are certainly still applicable today.

A slip of the foot you may soon recover, but a slip of the tongue you may never get over. -Benjamin Franklin

A people… who are possessed of the spirit of commerce, who see and who will pursue their advantages may achieve almost anything. -George Washington

Determine never to be idle. No person will have occasion to complain of the want of time who never loses any. It is wonderful how much may be done if we are always doing. -Thomas Jefferson

If it’s been a while since you’ve read the actual text of the Declaration of Independence, take a few minutes to do so.  It’s fascinating!

Tuesday Tidbits are weekly messages I send to my leadership team. They are generally short & sweet, often focused on leadership or teamwork, always positive and, hopefully, motivational. I hope you also find some meaning in them.
