Thank you Thursday
Much of the world is abuzz with the news of Apple’s Steve Jobs resignation. I am generally not an Appple devotee, but I do have an iPhone and I love it. I don’t have any other Apple technology; no Apple computer, never had an iPod, don’t have an iPad.
As I tried to catch up on the overnight news, I buzzed past the articles speculating on the impact to Apple’s stock value, the concerns about future visionary technology, the praise of Jobs’ entrepreneurial spirit. I skimmed through the headlines, not really sure what I was looking for.
Until I found it.
Today, I am thankful for the wisdom shared by Steve Jobs on his 2005 Stanford Commencement speech.
I hope you’ll take a few minutes to listen to his speech. He tells three personal stories about life, work and death. This is who the man, admired by so many, was, is and will be. If you would like the full text, click HERE.
You’ve got to find what you love…the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle.
Thank you, Steve Jobs. Fight on.
