Me and my Dad
Here are two snapshots of me and my Dad. The first is one of the earliest pictures of us, taken in 1957 when I was just nine days old. Mom and Dad look pretty proud to be parents. I love the way I’m looking at him.
The second one was taken nearly 47 years later on Dad’s 70th birthday, just two months before he died after a ten year battle with cancer. It’s the last picture I had taken with him, and one of my all time favorites. I love the way he’s looking at me.
I hope the lifetime we shared between these two photos brought him much more joy than sadness, more pride than disappointment, more laughter than tears.
Happy Father’s Day, Dad.
